Pilgrim House
Girls Academy & Business School
Charlotte and Johannes
Our amazing partners, Charlotte and Johannes have worked in Moldova, serving the most vulnerable for the past 30 years. Originating from Denmark where they have children and grandchildren. Their dedication to Moldova is exceptional and Sharon Blyth (founder) had the privilege of working as part of their team for 5 years. Raising awareness of vulnerable village girls who are so easily stollen/ trafficked and forced into prostitution.
Corina (far left) Shika (Far Right) who supervise and teach these vulnerable village girls life skills and so much more…
The girls academy is residential for vulnerable village girls from the age of 16 years. We have space for 12 girls and two full time careers.
We are teaching the girls new skill in our sewing room and are always looking for new ways in which to promote this initiative. We have launched a coffee House and have trained the girls to be baristas and to be proficient in accounting and business acumen.
A business school was launched a couple of years ago and through this initiative we have seen young people thrive and become independent business owners. From hairdressing to party planning and even a little clothing business.
We also support and encourage a young couple who are developing new ecological farming methods.
